blog stage eight

My classmate chose an interesting topic that almost anyone has an opinion on because of the massive interest in the advancemnets of technolgy and the possible dangers that might follow. Huge advancemnts in technology are making it close to whats called Artifical Intellegence, or A.I which are basically the idea that machines may have a ''mind of the own'' which sounds a little far feched but in reality it is at the moment. These bots are making decisions through the decision making coding implimented in their make up. Now for the Dangers that may become a reality, the most popular threat is the idea that machines will become coherent with full control over themselves, that may be a little dramatic at the moment but as we know A. I machines are more targeted towards the advancments in production and many surgical procedures. Like my classmate i can see the advantages and disadvantages of the A.I machines.

I chose to comment on my colleague's article regarding The Efforts in LA, the main focus was the simple act of ordinary citizens simply picking up after themselves to reduce their footprint on the earth. As an advocate and resident on earth, i'm a true believer in the control of our waste production. LA, as stated in this article, is trying to make strides in the right direction regarding this topic, with LA being one of the fastest growing cities in the world I can imagine the waste industry is having a hard time keeping up. which make it that much more important to start the search for the solution now. I agree with my colleague's stance on this topic I can see that he is optimistic about the future and see LA's efforts as a step in the right direction.

Blog Stage Four: Substantial commentary or criticism #2

The article I chose to read is titled Mr. Trump, Don’t Scrap the Iran Deal, by the new york times which covers the Iran Deal regarding the nuclear programs. Written by the editorial board, the writer is displeased with Mr. President Trump, with good reason. Time and time again we see how one-sided Trump’s foreign affairs thinking can be, disregarding his advisor's opinions and guidance. When he has little to no experience with foreign policy to offer. The United States has negotiated with Iran in the past to establish an agreement on the decrease in the production of nuclear weapons. President Obama accomplished his goal by setting an agreement that slowed Iran’s production in return lifting international sanctions. Every ninety days the United States makes the checks to ensure Iran is fulfilling its commitments then we recertify the deal. Trump Twice has stated he'd certify yet something has him reconsidering and eager to renegotiate as he might have done in his many bus

The article I read was written by Elliot Morris, a fourth-year student of government and history at the University of Texas at Austin. He begins by stating a familiar problem our society is facing in the election process, simply getting the younger voters, ages 18-29, to the polls and vote. He claims that if more of the younger voters take initiative and vote the democratic party would see heavy resuilts. Backing up his claim he provides a survey, the  Cooperative Congressional Election Study. this survey asked 64,000 American adults their political beliefs. Elliot goes on to discuss the results of the survey which simply states that the majority of the participants (all of which were under the age of 30) identified as either Democrat or learning-democrat. another group of the survey identified as liberal.  If these men and women actually took initiative to vote in the past election we could've seen a drastic change in the outcome of the election. Not to mention in recent years
